Terms

The practical details behind every collaboration.

01

Thehandshake

By using this website or engaging Bloomwork's services, you agree to these terms. They are meant to be clear and fair — a foundation for working together well.

If any part doesn't sit right, reach out. We would rather talk it through than hide behind fine print.

02

Whatwedo

Bloomwork provides floral design services including event florals — weddings, dinners, ceremonies — as well as editorial and brand work, architectural installations, weekly retainer arrangements for hospitality and commercial spaces, and hands-on workshops.

Each project begins with a conversation and ends with something living.

03

Howprojectsbegin

Every engagement starts with an inquiry. After an initial consultation — in person, by phone, or by email — we provide a written proposal outlining scope, materials, timeline, and pricing.

The proposal becomes binding when you approve it and submit the required deposit. Until that moment, everything is simply a conversation — no obligations on either side.

04

Depositsandpayment

A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date and begin sourcing. This deposit allows us to reserve our time, begin planning, and start the quiet work of finding the right materials.

The remaining balance is due seven days before the event or installation date. For weekly retainers, invoices are issued monthly and due within 14 days. For workshops, full payment is required at the time of booking.

05

Whenplanschange

We understand that plans evolve — life is not always predictable, and we would never want rigidity to stand in the way of doing the right thing.

Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event date forfeit the deposit only. Cancellations 14 to 30 days out incur 50% of the total project fee. Cancellations within 14 days are subject to the full project fee, as materials will likely have been ordered.

Rescheduling is always preferred and accommodated where possible at no additional charge. We would rather move a date than lose a collaboration.

06

Whattheseasongives

Flowers are a living medium and subject to seasonal availability. This is part of what makes them beautiful — and part of what makes our work honest. We design with what the season offers, not against it.

We will always communicate if a specific stem or variety is unavailable and propose alternatives of equal quality and character. The final arrangement may differ from the initial concept in its specific components, but never in its spirit or standard.

07

Deliveryandsetup

Bloomwork handles delivery, setup, and breakdown for all event and installation work. We arrive on time, we work quietly, and we leave the space exactly as we found it — minus the flowers.

The client is responsible for ensuring venue access at the agreed time. If access is delayed or restricted beyond the agreed window, additional charges may apply to cover the extended time and logistics involved.

08

Theworkinphotographs

We reserve the right to photograph our work for portfolio, editorial, and social media use, unless you request otherwise in writing before the event. Our work is how we speak — and we would like to be able to share it.

We will always credit collaborators — photographers, venues, planners — where applicable. Your personal information will never appear in portfolio content without your explicit consent.

09

Ourresponsibility

Bloomwork's liability is limited to the total fee paid for the specific service in question. We stand behind our work completely, but we cannot be responsible for issues arising from venue conditions, weather, third-party vendor delays, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We carry appropriate commercial liability insurance for all on-site work. If something goes wrong, we will be the first to want to make it right.

10

Forcemajeure

Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control — including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, or government restrictions.

In such cases, we will work together to reschedule or adjust scope, and any unearned fees will be refunded. The world is unpredictable — but how we respond to it doesn't have to be.

11

Thefineprint

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through the courts of Ontario.

These terms represent the complete agreement between you and Bloomwork regarding the services described. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in full effect. We wrote these to be understood, not to be argued over.
